Quick questions
Do my members need the app?
Not to RSVP. That works from a link. To find a time that suits everyone, members use the free Goodtimes app, where they sync their calendar and set their social hours.
What happens after the free year?
Founding Hosts get 50% off Pro in year two, which is $414 at today's pricing, then the standard price. We'll email you before anything changes.
We use another platform. Can we move?
Yes. Import your member list by CSV. A short walkthrough video and our weekly Host Hour will help you set up your first event.
Who can apply?
Any club, society or community based in NSW that meets in person, university or independent. The applicant must be an organiser aged 18 or over. One place per community. We’re welcoming a first intake of 50 communities, and we’ll open more places as demand grows.
What are the rules for the Goodtimes IRL grant?
You need to be accepted into the program to enter. Every in-person event you host in NSW on Goodtimes between 12 October and 31 December 2026 with at least 10 RSVPs is one entry, and tagging @goodtimes.social.app in an Instagram photo of that event earns a bonus entry. One winner is drawn at random at 12pm on 1 January 2027 and receives $500 towards their first event of 2027, hosted on Goodtimes by 31 March 2027. Fake RSVPs or events mean disqualification. The full rules are in the terms and conditions below.
Terms and conditions
These terms cover the Goodtimes Community Leaders Program ("the program") and the Goodtimes IRL event grant ("the grant"), run by Goodtimes. Applying means you accept them, along with the Goodtimes Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. All times are Sydney time (AEDT).
1. The program
- The program opens on 12 October 2026. Applications close at 11:59pm on 31 December 2026.
- Places are limited. The first intake is for 50 communities. Goodtimes may open further places depending on demand. If all places are filled before applications close, new applications may be held for a later intake.
- It is open to clubs, societies and communities based in New South Wales that meet in person, whether university-affiliated or independent.
- The applicant must be an organiser of the community and aged 18 or over. One application and one place per community.
- We assess applications against these criteria and aim to reply by email within three business days. Acceptance is at Goodtimes' discretion. Accepted communities are "hosts".
2. What hosts receive
- A Goodtimes Pro subscription at no charge for 12 months from the date of acceptance. Pro is normally $69 per month (AUD).
- Access to the Founding Hosts group chat and the weekly Host Hour.
- Booking service fees and card processing fees on paid tickets, as set out on the Goodtimes pricing page, continue to apply.
- The sponsored year has no cash value and cannot be transferred or combined with other offers.
- Hosts accepted by 31 December 2026 are eligible for 50% off the annual Pro subscription for their second year. From the third year the standard price at that time applies. We will email hosts before each change.
3. Entering the grant
- Only hosts accepted into the program can enter. There is no separate entry form and no cost to enter.
- A "qualifying event" is an in-person event held in New South Wales, created on Goodtimes by the host, held between 12 October 2026 and 11:59pm on 31 December 2026, with at least 10 RSVPs made through Goodtimes.
- Each qualifying event earns one entry. Each occurrence of a recurring event counts separately. There is no limit on entries.
- A qualifying event earns one bonus entry if the host tags @goodtimes.social.app in a public Instagram post or story showing that event, published during the program.
4. The draw and the prize
- The winner will be drawn at random from all valid entries at 12:00pm on 1 January 2027 in Sydney, NSW.
- There is one prize of AUD $500, paid by bank transfer to the account nominated by the winning community's organiser.
- The prize must be used towards an in-person event for the winning community, hosted on Goodtimes by 31 March 2027.
- We will check the drawn host's entries before confirming the winner, and may ask for evidence that events took place.
- The winner will be contacted by email and announced on Goodtimes' channels. If the winner cannot be reached within seven days, or is found ineligible, we will redraw.
5. Fair play
- Fake or duplicate RSVPs, accounts created to inflate numbers, events that did not take place, and splitting one event into several are not allowed.
- A host found to have done any of these is disqualified from the draw, loses the sponsored subscription immediately and may be removed from the platform. Goodtimes' decision is final.
6. Content, publicity and privacy
- Hosts agree that Goodtimes may share and reuse photos and footage of their events that they post publicly or send to Goodtimes, in its social posts, newsletter and advertising, with credit to the community. Hosts are responsible for having permission from the people who appear.
- The winner agrees to collaborate with Goodtimes on social media content about the funded event, and to be named as the winner.
- We use application details to assess applications, run the program and the grant, and contact you about them. Your mobile number is used to add you to the Founding Hosts WhatsApp group, where other hosts can see it. Personal information is handled under the Goodtimes Privacy Policy.
7. General
- The program and the grant are not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram or Meta.
- If the program or the grant cannot run as planned for reasons outside our reasonable control, we may change, suspend or end it, subject to any applicable law.
- Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales.
- Questions can be sent through the Goodtimes contact page.
